We’ve been talking about it since last fall. On June 9th, the Minister of Education, Sébastien Proulx, introduced Bill 144 in the National Assembly, which proposes modifications to the Education Act.

You must remember that this is a bill, which is a draft of the intentions of the government with regard to homeschooling, among other things.

Our legal counsel is currently combing through the document in order to enlighten us. The HSLDA Director of Operations for Quebec and French Canada, Manon Fortin, had a telephone conversation with the political attaché for Minister Proulx. She will also meet with the Minister in person next week in order to look at the bill in depth. He will then be able to answer our questions.
