Holiday Greetings from HSLDA Canada
Many parents are breathing a sigh of relief as the end of the year approaches. For some home educators, the holiday season marks the end of the first half of the academic year. Whether you have experienced triumphs or challenges (or hopefully a healthy mix of both!), we hope you’ll have some time to catch your breath and enjoy this festive season.
Over the past year our team worked diligently to support Canadian home educators on their journeys. Whether you spoke to someone over the phone, via email or utilized the member site, at HSLDA we consider it an honour to serve your family. Each year we strive to keep our members updated with the latest homeschool information and anything that impacts Canadian families. From political updates, to member stories and beyond, we make it our business to share relevant information with you. In 2019, we will continue to provide the homeschool resources you need for your family. We look forward to meeting you at local conferences, answering your questions and advocating for the rights of all home educators. And, there’s so much for you to look forward to, including: homeschool legal advice, comprehensive insurance, new editions of Homeschool with HSLDA magazine, exclusive resources for members and support groups, informative blogs and intriguing member stories…and so much more! We are thousands of members strong and remain committed to being the partner in your homeschool success. As we embark on a new year, we will continue to enable, empower and protect Canadian homeschooling families.
During the holiday season our team will be spending some quality time with family and friends. Our office will be closed from December 21, 2018 to January 1, 2019. Remember, you can log into the member site at any time to access various homeschooling resources. If you have a homeschooling situation while our office is closed, please call 519.913.0318 to obtain the member emergency telephone number.
In the meantime, take some time to relax and enjoy the holiday season with your loved ones. No matter where you are in your homeschooling journey, we hope you’ll have a chance to reflect on the past year and look forward to a new year of possibilities.
From all your friends at HSLDA Canada, have a very Merry Christmas and a happy New Year!
