As homeschoolers, we know that life is pretty perfect all the time. Instructions are heeded the first time they are given, subjects are learned and memorized the first time they are heard, and children never do anything to embarrass or frustrate us.

Right?

Ahem.

Well, maybe life isn’t quite so picture perfect for us ‘everyday’ people. But what is a video shoot like for the President of HSLDA Canada and his wife and their children?

Paul and Suzanne Faris and family dropped by the video room this week to give us a ‘picture perfect’ Christmas greeting this week. Or did they? What a gift to see the HSLDA Canada President and his wife being very ‘everyday’ parents, just like us, with adorable and normal kids, just like ours.

Family is important for all of us at HSLDA, and so to ensure that our staff has time over the holidays to spend with family, too, we’ll have reduced office hours over the next two weeks.

The office will be: closed December 24 to 26; open with shortened hours December 29, 30 and 31 (9 am until 12 pm); and, closed on January 1 and 2.

HSLDA Canada staff wishes you a blessed Christmas and a Happy New Year! It has been our joy to serve you in 2014, and we look forward to supporting you again in 2015.

Merry Christmas from the Faris family!
